Background
Victoria Odell is an exceptional litigator with experience advising her clients from the initial stages of litigation, including pre-suit resolution, through the appeals process.
Victoria is knowledgeable in a variety of fields, including commercial litigation and appeals, and she has experience preparing arguments for state and federal courts. She also has experience advising clients with respect to compliance with consumer protection laws.
Victoria studied law at the University of Southern California, Gould School of Law, and earned her Juris Doctor in 2017. During her time at the University of Southern California, she was a Senior Editor of the Southern California Law Review, a merit scholarship recipient, and a James G. Holbrook Award honoree. She clerked for Baker Marquart while a law student, and following law school, Victoria was a judicial law clerk for the United States District Court for the Central District of California. She began with Shook, Hardy, & Bacon in Irvine in late 2018. At Shook, Hardy, & Bacon, Victoria practiced commercial litigation and product liability defense of pharmaceutical and medical device companies. In 2020, she began working with Stradling Yocca Carlson & Rauth in Newport Beach, where practiced commercial litigation and consumer protection defense. Victoria has drafted and argued many successful motions, including securing a $22 million default judgment in a fraud case and dismissal of a Prop 65 case.
Outside of her professional work, Victoria is a classic rock enthusiast (her favorite band is The Rolling Stones) and enjoys caring for her greyhound and terrier.
